Summary: Supports master's thesis and doctoral dissertation research in basic or applied experimental analysis of behavior, with preference for translational research.
Key Information: Applicants must have at least one full academic year remaining and cannot apply for a Bijou Grant in the same year.
The Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA) supports promising graduate student research through the Innovative Student Research Grant. The program funds master's thesis and doctoral dissertation projects involving basic or applied research in the experimental analysis of behavior. Preference is given to translational research, and proposals must address questions considered important beyond the behavior analytic community.
Created in 2000 and formerly called the SABA Experimental Analysis of Behavior Grant, the program has made awards annually since 2002. It is supported by an endowment funded through donations from Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) members. The ABAI Science Board administers the grant process, and the SABA Board of Directors selects recipients.
