This program supports the development of new research questions, methods, and theoretical approaches at the early stages of research in the social sciences and humanities. Funding is available for short-term (1–2 year) projects proposed by individuals or teams, with the aim of fostering bold, innovative research that advances knowledge in these fields. Projects may include case studies, pilot initiatives, critical analyses, and collaborations across disciplines and sectors. Both emerging and established scholars are eligible, provided the project represents new directions in research.
