The Institutional Development Scheme (IDS) Research Infrastructure Grant is designed to build and enhance the research capacity of local self-financing degree-awarding institutions in Hong Kong. The grant aims to support the establishment of new research centres or the enhancement of existing ones that are of strategic importance to the institution. Funding can be used for communal equipment, research materials, and the organization of seminars, workshops, conferences, and exchange programmes, all with the goal of strengthening research infrastructure and fostering impactful research outcomes aligned with institutional development plans.
