Description
Funded and administered by the Fulbright Finland Foundation, the Inter-Country Travel Grant enables Finnish institutions to invite U.S. Fulbright scholars, teachers, professionals, and advanced PhD students based elsewhere in Europe for short, impactful visits. It supports connections with Finnish colleagues and institutions in the visitor’s field, strengthening academic and professional exchange between Finland and the United States.
Visits may last up to one week and involve lecturing, consulting, workshops, evaluation or development projects, or other relevant outreach activities with wide impact. The visitor and Finnish host develop the purpose, program, dates, and practical arrangements together. The grant finances travel between the visitor’s current European host city and the Finnish host city, rather than a separate research project or the full costs of the stay.
