Description
Interfaith America’s Interfaith Civic Pluralism Fellowship is a twelve-month program that brings together civic leaders of faith and conscience to connect across differences and strengthen their institutions’ roles in civic life. Leading scholars provide grounding in the history and practice of religious liberty and pluralism in the United States. Fellows contribute their expertise, compare approaches, and develop a written guide of actionable strategies for protecting religious liberty and building pluralism.
Project funding helps fellows put those strategies into practice within their existing organizational work, integrate pluralism practices, and bring in new partners. Through collaboration across faith and ideological lines and public-facing storytelling, the fellowship seeks to demonstrate how protecting civil rights—particularly religious liberty—strengthens democracy for everyone and offers a positive alternative to narratives of exclusion.
