Description
The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations’ Interfaith Leadership and Religious Literacy program supports organizations that deepen understanding of religious traditions and create opportunities for courageous multi-faith conversations and collaborations. Its goals respond to religious diversity in the United States: nurturing a pluralistic society, moderating religious tension, and encouraging appreciation and friendship across religious divides.
Support concentrates on three areas. Digital media projects produce, distribute, and market social media, digital video, podcasts, and similar products that improve religious literacy for large audiences. Campus collaborations bring students together across religious differences in sustained, meaningful ways. Religious publications, particularly online and print magazines, develop and share text-based content that helps readers understand and appreciate communities outside their own.
