Description
This Horizon Europe Innovation Action funds projects that develop and demonstrate innovative methodologies and solutions for fostering intergenerational neighbourhoods and communities aligned with the New European Bauhaus (NEB) principles of beauty, sustainability, and inclusiveness. The call seeks to address the needs of different age groups while tackling broader societal challenges such as demographic change, climate adaptation, pollution, biodiversity loss, cultural heritage, and social cohesion.
Funded projects are expected to:
- Develop and demonstrate methodologies to measure and monitor the intergenerational nature of neighbourhoods and communities, potentially using digital platforms and participatory data collection.
- Identify legal, regulatory, and institutional barriers to intergenerational living, and explore generational perceptions.
- Examine the role of informal services (culture, social/health care, education) in supporting intergenerational communities.
- Implement and evaluate at least three solutions in three different neighbourhoods (urban, peri-urban, rural) across different EU Member States and/or Associated Countries, focusing on adaptability, inclusiveness, accessibility, and participatory approaches.
- Produce evidence-based recommendations for broader adaptation and uptake, contributing to green transition, sustainable mobility, climate resilience, and community well-being.
SSH (Social Sciences and Humanities) integration and a transdisciplinary, participatory approach are required. International cooperation is encouraged.
