Description
The Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s Office of Justice Programs administers this initiative to support restrictive conditions imposed as part of county probation. The program aims to divert individuals from county jail or state prison while providing treatment for substance use or mental health disorders, reducing recidivism and improving public safety.
Funding supports drug and alcohol assessment, placement, treatment and testing, mental health treatment, peer support, case management, and related criminal justice supervision. County programs may also facilitate recovery through certified recovery housing, recovery coaching, transportation, and treatment-related reentry services. Programs combine access to treatment with supervision that restricts movement and monitors compliance with probation conditions, coordinated with county substance abuse treatment and funding systems.
