Description
The Medical University of South Carolina’s College of Medicine offers internal funding to strengthen faculty research and help investigators advance at different career stages. Bridge Funding supports established clinical or basic research programs facing funding gaps, while K-R Clinician Scientist Bridge Funding supports promising young clinician-scientists reaching the end of a K award without an independent federally funded research program.
The Team Science program supports initial studies by new collaborative teams, with the potential to establish funded research programs. Program Project Grants (PPG) support teams with complementary expertise and strong funding and publication histories conducting basic, translational, or clinical research. These programs contribute to the College’s mission of translating discoveries into treatments and interventions that improve health in South Carolina and beyond.
