Description
International cultural engagement is a grant scheme run by the Norway Ministry of Foreign Affairs to strengthen Norwegian cultural professionals’ and practitioners’ international opportunities. It supports broader professional networks and participation in global developments in their fields, with the goal of contributing to a vibrant and dynamic arts and culture scene in Norway.
The scheme targets arts and culture institutions and organisations, the arts industry, and cultural professionals and practitioners established in Norway. It also provides for travel grants for Norwegian artists resident in Norway who cooperate with cultural partners in developing countries. The scheme’s priorities are determined annually through the Storting’s approval of the Ministry’s budget proposal.
