Description
The American Physiological Society’s International Early-career Physiologist Travel Awards support graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty members who live and work outside the United States. Sponsored by the APS International Committee, the awards help offset travel expenses incurred while attending the American Physiology Summit to present research.
The program considers both the quality and significance of the research and the applicant’s potential for success as an early-career physiologist. Reviewers assess scientific impact, professional accomplishments relative to career stage, the applicant’s role in the research and the potential benefit of Summit participation. Recipients are recognized at the Summit and may be invited to deliver a two-minute elevator speech during the meeting.
