This program funds novel and impactful research projects that address significant challenges in cancer control and care in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), as defined by the World Bank. The goal is to support innovative approaches that reduce the burden of cancer in local communities and may be adapted to other similar settings. Projects may span prevention, health services research, new technologies, epidemiology, palliative care, workforce models, and more, provided they are hypothesis-driven and focused on advancing cancer control in LMICs.
