Description
The International Innovation Grant, funded through Conquer Cancer, the ASCO Foundation, supports novel, hypothesis-driven research addressing barriers to cancer control in World Bank–defined low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Projects should reduce cancer burdens in local communities and generate knowledge potentially transferable to other LMIC settings. This is research funding, not short-term support for cancer-control services.
Supported work can include health services and telemedicine, prevention, epidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, affordable treatment trials, palliative care, new technologies, workforce and training models, implementation research, and clinical infrastructure research. Projects should take place primarily in the LMIC and must define success indicators, measurement methods, and targets. Researchers and organizations are expected to share and disseminate findings.
