Description
The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) runs the International Joint Research Program to strengthen academic collaboration between researchers at Japanese universities and institutes and their overseas colleagues. Working with overseas science-promotion organizations, it supports joint research projects, seminars, and scientist exchanges addressing issues that are difficult for one country to solve alone.
The program aims to generate innovative intellectual research outcomes while giving young researchers opportunities to develop their skills through international collaboration. Its partnerships include joint research arrangements with SNSF, DFG, UKRI, and NSFC, alongside the Open Research Area for the Social Sciences (ORA) and JSPS-NSF Partnerships for International Research and Education (PIRE).
