International Networks of Excellence supports international teams of researchers pursuing collaborative cardiovascular or neurovascular research to advance the diagnosis, management, or prevention of disease.

Key Information: Each network needs two coordinators on different continents and at least three institutional members.
Description
The Leducq Foundation’s International Networks of Excellence program supports internationally collaborative basic, translational, and clinical research in cardiovascular and neurovascular disease. Networks bring researchers with complementary expertise and resources together around a defined scientific theme. Proposed work should generate knowledge with the potential to advance the diagnosis, management, or prevention of disease.
The foundation looks for an original research plan with a clear hypothesis and rationale, rather than collaboration for its own sake. Applicants must show how the network’s composition and cross-border work strengthen the science. Interdisciplinary collaboration and meaningful training and participation for early-career investigators are encouraged.
