Description
The Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA) offers residencies at Le Moulin à Nef in Auvillar, France, through its International Programs. The program provides returning VCCA Fellows with time and space to focus on creative work in a community of artists. Each resident receives a private studio and private bedroom, with shared bathrooms and communal living facilities.
The program supports literary, visual, performance, and musical disciplines. Fellows are selected through peer review based on professional achievement or promise of achievement in their fields. Separate panels assess artistic categories, and panelists rotate to represent diverse artistic styles and tastes. Residencies may last 11, 18, 25, 32, or 39 days, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Thursday within the residency season.
