Description
The Society for the Study of School Psychology (SSSP), in partnership with the International School Psychology Association (ISPA), supports international researchers investigating important school psychology topics within or beyond their home country or region. The initiative encourages cross-country collaboration, practice-based research that informs evidence-based practice, and research capacity building outside the United States. An inter-organizational International Initiatives Committee solicits and reviews proposals.
Projects generally address scientific and applied contributions to school psychology, applications of scientific knowledge to practice, or development of the profession’s scientific foundations. Work may include empirical studies, research syntheses, assessment and intervention evaluation, education and training models, workforce research, or psychological approaches to education and public policy. Quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-methods projects are permitted. The initiative also seeks to disseminate findings through scholarly publications and presentations.
