Description
The Biochemical Society’s International Sponsored Places scheme helps outstanding Postgraduate and Early Career members attend conferences held with its international partner societies. It supports participation in scientific meetings rather than standalone research projects, offering opportunities to share research, encounter different scientific perspectives, and develop connections that could lead to future collaborations. Opportunities arise throughout the year.
The 2027 opportunity supports one member attending both the 51st FEBS Congress and the 26th Young Scientists’ Forum across Estonia and Latvia. The Congress theme is “From biomolecules to biomes,” and the meetings provide opportunities to discuss work with an international audience and connect with European colleagues. The Society has also supported attendance at Biomolecular Horizons, a joint IUBMB-FAOBMB-ComBio congress bringing together bioscience and biotechnology communities.
