Description
The Thoracic Surgery Foundation for Research and Education offers this fellowship to support the continuing education of a young faculty cardiothoracic surgeon. It funds 4–16 weeks of international travel to another institution to learn a novel technique, adapt innovative technology, or foster collaboration between surgical investigators. The goal is to bring knowledge and professional connections back to the recipient’s home institution and further the progress of cardiothoracic surgery there.
Applicants are expected to have a record of excellence in training and academic achievement, as well as a host position and a mentor able to support their continued development.
