This international traveling fellowship enables young faculty cardiothoracic surgeons to travel abroad for 4–16 weeks to learn novel surgical techniques, adapt innovative technologies, and foster collaborations with leading experts. The goal is to advance the field of cardiothoracic surgery at the recipient’s home institution and develop future leaders in the specialty. The award is a joint initiative of the Thoracic Surgery Foundation and the Francis Fontan Fund, supporting both North American and international surgeons.
