    Description

The Internet Society Foundation’s Internet Governance Forum (IGF) Events program provides funding to support the organization and hosting of United Nations IGF Secretariat-recognized National and Regional Initiatives (NRIs) and National and Regional Schools on Internet Governance (SIGs). The program aims to foster open, inclusive, non-commercial, and multi-stakeholder dialogue on Internet governance, and to develop future leaders with the skills and knowledge to shape the Internet’s future. Funding is intended to cover organizational costs such as space rental, catering, outreach, and participant travel or connectivity, but not equipment purchases.

The Foundation emphasizes transparency, accessibility, and collaboration with the broader Internet governance ecosystem. Strict eligibility requirements apply, including up-to-date and publicly accessible event websites, confirmed IGF Secretariat recognition, and detailed reporting obligations.
