Description
Villa I Tatti, Harvard University’s Center for Italian Renaissance Studies, offers a limited number of undergraduate summer internships in Florence, Italy. The program’s primary goal is to give Harvard students two months at the center to carry out a project that contributes to their academic development. Internships take place in June and July within a scholarly environment that includes the Berenson Library, art collections, and academic events.
Previously offered projects have involved curatorial work, archival research and digital mapping, Mediterranean cookery and produce, and documenting photographs of medieval archaeological sites. These placements connect practical work with the center’s collections, history, and scholarly community. Interns receive access to the Harvard Center’s resources and are expected to participate in its academic life.
