Description
The Interventional and Advanced Diagnostic Pulmonology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida, is a rigorous, ACGME-accredited one-year program designed for physicians who have completed a pulmonary or pulmonary and critical care fellowship. The fellowship provides immersive, hands-on training in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic pulmonary procedures—including rigid and robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, airway stenting, cryotherapy, and pleural interventions—within a high-volume clinical environment. Trainees also rotate through thoracic surgery, laryngology, and lung transplant services, and participate in simulation and cadaver/animal labs to reinforce procedural skills. The curriculum is structured to prepare fellows for leadership roles in interventional pulmonology and eligibility for the Interventional Pulmonology Certification Exam. Only one fellow is accepted annually.
