Description
This award provides substantial support to early-stage faculty investigators in rheumatology during the pivotal period between postdoctoral or clinical fellowship completion and the establishment of an independent research career. It is designed to foster innovative basic, translational, or clinical research relevant to rheumatic diseases and to help junior investigators generate preliminary data and career momentum needed to secure major external funding (e.g., NIH K or R awards). The program aims to sustain the pipeline of rheumatology researchers and advance the understanding, prevention, and treatment of rheumatic conditions.
