Description
Becton Dickinson’s Investigator Sponsored Studies (ISS) program supports research designed and sponsored by an investigator independent of BD. Clinical and non-clinical studies must address meaningful scientific or clinical objectives related to BD products, technologies, and therapies. The Sponsor-Investigator controls the protocol, subject safety, data collection, analysis, and reporting, and retains the study’s regulatory, ethical, and applicable legal responsibilities.
BD evaluates proposals for scientific merit, alignment with its research interests, and available funding. Studies addressing its current business-specific areas of interest receive first consideration. BD Medical Affairs manages ISS grants, while an authorized External Funding Committee makes funding decisions.
