Description
The Irving S. Sigal Global Mobility Award Program, administered by the American Chemical Society (ACS), supports postdoctoral scholars conducting chemistry research outside the United States. It helps awardees attend the ACS Fall Meeting and share their work through an oral or poster presentation. The award provides meeting registration and travel assistance to support scholars’ scientific pursuits and career development.
Launched in 2024 through the generosity of Dr. Catherine T. Sigal, the program honors her late husband, Dr. Irving S. Sigal. It is supported by the Irving S. Sigal Postdoctoral Endowment. Eligible regions rotate annually; the 2027 program focuses on scholars residing and conducting postdoctoral research in Poland, Romania, Czechia, and Georgia.
