This opportunity provides UK-based researchers—including those in academia, industry, charities, and not-for-profit organisations—with flexible access to the Isambard-AI and Dawn AIRR supercomputers for artificial intelligence (AI) research and development. The scheme is designed to support a wide range of AI-related activities, such as developing novel algorithms, benchmarking, workflow optimisation, AI-driven data collection, and more. Projects can cover fundamental research, feasibility studies, industrial research, or experimental development, with a focus on innovation, responsible AI, and alignment with national missions and industrial strategy sectors. Each successful application receives up to 10,000 GPU hours (to be used within three months of project start) on either Isambard-AI or Dawn.
