Funding Amounts: One award of up to $100,000 USD over two years
Summary: Supports patient-centered clinical research improving pulmonary hypertension outcomes and access to specialized care, with relevance to transplantation and advanced therapies.
Key Information: Applicants must be active ISHLT or PHA members or submit a completed membership application by the required deadline.
Jointly supported by the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation (ISHLT) and the Pulmonary Hypertension Association (PHA), this grant funds innovative, patient-centered clinical research addressing critical gaps in pulmonary hypertension (PH) knowledge and care. It covers the full PH spectrum: Groups 1–5, chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension, pediatric populations, and adults with congenital heart disease.
Research should have relevance to transplantation and advanced therapeutic strategies. Priorities include outcomes beyond survival, such as quality of life and patient-reported outcomes; innovative monitoring through digital health tools, remote monitoring, imaging, or related technologies; strategies that reduce barriers to specialized PH care; and lung or heart/lung transplantation and advanced PH care.
