The ISHLT Registry Early Career Grant, offered by the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation with support from the ISHLT Foundation, funds early investigators using the ISHLT Thoracic Transplant Registry (TTX Registry). Projects may address any aspect of heart or lung transplantation represented in the Registry, including recipient and donor characteristics, transplant procedures, post-transplant outcomes, and other collected data.
The program aims to promote innovative research, develop early-career investigators, and advance thoracic transplantation knowledge through international Registry data. Awards support statistical work, supplemented by consultation with the ISHLT Registry Biostatistician. A Transplant Registry Steering Committee member with relevant expertise also oversees each funded project and assists with resulting abstracts and manuscripts.
