    Description

The International Society of Nephrology (ISN) Clinical Research Program supports research and education involving nephrologists, health workers, and local authorities in low-, lower-middle-, and upper-middle-income countries. It helps implement projects to detect and manage kidney disease and related non-communicable diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. The program emphasizes local leadership, research capacity building, and benefits for local patients and scientists.

Funding supports screening and intervention studies, clinical research addressing local needs, acute kidney injury research, and chronic kidney disease of unknown origin research. ISN also partners with the Société Francophone de Néphrologie Dialyse et Transplantation to support nephrology in French-speaking Africa. Its associated Scientific Writing Course offers hands-on instruction and individual mentoring to help physicians and researchers publish their work.
