    Description

The International Society of Nephrology (ISN) Regional Training Centers network recognizes institutions with strong nephrology training capabilities and a track record of training doctors and health professionals from surrounding low-resource areas. Selected by the ISN Core Programs Committee, the network includes 37 centers working to improve patient care in low-, lower-middle-, and upper-middle-income countries. Its priority is locally relevant training that strengthens regional networks and offers practical experience in settings similar to trainees’ home environments.

Centers act as regional hubs for ISN activities: hosting fellows, mentoring professionals, organizing educational meetings, supporting emerging centers, contributing to the ISN Academy, and collaborating with health authorities. Training spans general nephrology, hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, transplantation, and pediatric nephrology, with offerings differing by center. Educational priorities include acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and end-stage kidney disease.
