The International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) runs Reach-the-World Fellowships for junior clinicians and researchers from selected Reach-the-World countries. The program supports study at host institutes recognized for expertise in thrombosis and hemostasis. Training can focus on medical care, laboratory methods, research, or a combination of these areas, with financial support for travel, accommodation and living expenses.
The fellowship centers on a defined training plan developed with the host mentor, including learning objectives and a week-by-week schedule. Applicants explain how the training addresses priorities at their home institute and how they will implement their learning after returning. The program considers training feasibility, academic track record, host suitability and prospects for continued collaboration between institutes.
