The Italian Fellows Program at the American Academy in Rome offers prestigious fellowships for Italian artists, scholars, and curators to live and work at the Academy’s vibrant, interdisciplinary campus. Fellows pursue their own independent projects while engaging in collaborative exchanges with other residents, including Rome Prize Fellows. Fellowships are awarded annually in three main categories:
- Humanities: Postdoctoral research in Modern Italian Studies (and related fields)
- Arts: Artistic research, including musical composition
