The IUBMB MilliporeSigma ENABLE-Africa Fellowships provide research and training opportunities for biochemistry and molecular biology trainees from across Africa. Run by the International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in collaboration with MilliporeSigma, the program supports attendance at the annual FEBS-IUBMB-ENABLE Conference. Fellows must share their research through a poster or oral presentation, connecting conference participation with scientific exchange and training.
The fellowship also honors Donald Nicholson’s metabolic maps, whose copyright he gave to IUBMB in 1996. The partnership with MilliporeSigma supports the future of these maps alongside virtual meetings and course registration for trainees in biochemistry and molecular biology.
