    Description

The International Union of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (IUBMB) established this programme to help molecular life sciences trainees whose doctoral or postdoctoral training has been severely disrupted by armed conflict, violence, or natural disasters. It addresses the loss of research infrastructure and resources that prevents trainees from continuing their work or substantially slows their progress.

The programme provides financial assistance to relocate affected trainees to a suitable host laboratory where their research training can continue. Its focus is restoring access to training conditions rather than funding a specified research topic. Applications are considered on a rolling basis, with rapid decisions intended to support affected trainees.
