JCERDC Phase II is a joint initiative of India’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the U.S. Department of Energy, implemented by the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum. It brings together scientists and engineers from India and the United States to advance clean energy innovation through collaborative research. The centre operates under the Partnership to Advance Clean Energy, which addresses climate change, mutual energy security, and the development of a clean energy economy.
Building on Phase I, Phase II expanded the Partnership to Advance Clean Energy Research into smart grids and energy storage. These research areas focus on improving the reliability, flexibility, and efficiency of electricity delivery. The initiative seeks key technological advances by combining research expertise from both countries.
