Description
The James McKeen Cattell Sabbatical Awards supplement the regular sabbatical allowance provided by recipients’ home institutions, allowing leave to extend from one semester to two. Offered by the James McKeen Cattell Fund and administered through the Association for Psychological Science (APS), the awards support research-related activities that can have a transformational impact on a psychologist’s existing research program.
Established in 1942, the Fund has a longstanding commitment to the science and application of psychology. This program provides additional research time for eligible faculty members at colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. Its emphasis is on the potential impact of an extended sabbatical, rather than support for a standalone research project.
