Description
The Janet Levy Fund provides small grants to support professional travel and research expenses for members of the American Musicological Society (AMS) who do not have access to employer-based research funding. The program is designed to facilitate scholarly activity and professional development for independent scholars and contingent faculty in musicology. Supported activities include travel to conferences or archives, research expenses, costs for reproducing manuscripts and archival documents, and obtaining specialized research materials. Proposals are evaluated by a committee, with the aim of enabling research and professional advancement for those with limited institutional support.
