Description
The Janet & Walter Sondheim Art Prize is an annual award dedicated to recognizing and supporting visual artists or artist collaborators living and working in the greater Baltimore region. The prize seeks to identify artists whose work demonstrates originality, engages with contemporary art on a national and international level, and shows potential for significant artistic growth. The winner receives a $30,000 cash award (disbursed in monthly installments) and the opportunity to exhibit at the Walters Art Museum. Finalists and semifinalists also receive recognition and exhibition opportunities, helping to further their artistic careers and contribute to Baltimore’s vibrant arts community.
