Description
Janet’s Fund at Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation supports creative activities that sustain educational excellence at Mount Everett Regional High School. Bob Thieriot established the fund in memory of his daughter Janet, a Southern Berkshire Regional School District student who pushed beyond the standard curriculum and died in 1989. Its goal is to give every district student an opportunity to dream, pursue that dream, and realize it.
The fund supports initiatives that stretch the school community beyond existing programs, including projects serving many students and activities benefiting an individual student of exceptional promise. Student-initiated projects are encouraged. Funding helps the school reach students with superior talents and those facing physical, emotional, or mental challenges, while addressing the geographic challenges of a large rural district.
