Description
The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS), in association with the Australian Academy of Science, offers postdoctoral fellowships for collaborative research at eligible Japanese institutions. Fellows spend 12–24 months conducting full-time research under a Japanese host’s guidance, working with leading research groups in universities and other institutions. The program aims to advance fellows’ research, contribute to science in Japan and counterpart countries, and build lasting Australia–Japan research relationships.
The Academy accepts projects in physical sciences, life sciences, engineering, technology and medicine. Preference goes to proposals addressing Australia’s National Science and Research Priorities, particularly shared strategic interests in critical technologies, advanced materials, engineering, Antarctic science and environmental science.
