Description
The Japanese Language Education Assistant Program (JLEAP), administered by the Japan Foundation of Los Angeles in partnership with The Laurasian Institution, places native Japanese Language Assistant Teachers (ATs) in K-12 educational institutions across the United States for up to two years. The program aims to enhance Japanese language programs by providing team-teaching opportunities with a Lead Teacher (LT), fostering authentic language learning, and supporting the professional development of both the AT and LT. JLEAP is designed to strengthen the Japanese language educational environment and cultivate the next generation of qualified Japanese language educators.
