    Description

The Japanese Language Program is a seven-week onsite training program offered by the Japan Foundation Japanese-Language Institute, Urawa, as part of its 2027 teacher-training programs. It serves non-native Japanese-language teachers working outside Japan who want to strengthen the language skills needed in their teaching and deepen their knowledge of Japan. Training and accommodation are at the institute in Saitama Prefecture. The program does not include Japanese-language teaching methodology.

Participants develop their language proficiency through language activities and consolidate their knowledge of vocabulary and grammar. Lectures and workshops introduce Japanese culture and society, with field trips, local school visits, and cultural demonstrations planned. Interaction with classmates also supports cross-cultural understanding.
