--- ## Description This grant program offers financial support to current and retired 3M U.S.A. employees and their families who are experiencing significant financial hardship as a result of a catastrophic illness or accident. The goal is to help recipients achieve self-sufficiency, return to the workplace if possible, and improve their overall quality of life. Grants are tailored to substantially assist applicants in overcoming adversity related to health crises and depleted resources. --- ## Due Dates - Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. - Funding decisions are made quarterly by a dedicated committee. --- ## Funding Amount - The amount awarded is determined based on the applicant’s demonstrated need and the extent to which the grant will help overcome the hardship. - No fixed minimum or maximum; grants are intended to provide substantial, transitional assistance. --- ## Eligibility Applicants must meet one of the following criteria: - Be an active employee of 3M U.S.A. - Be on a leave of absence from 3M U.S.A. - Be a person who retired from 3M U.S.A. within five years of the application date (or who is suffering from a catastrophic accident or illness that occurred within five years of retirement). - Be an immediate family member applying on behalf of a 3M U.S.A. employee who has died within the last five years. - Be an individual applying on behalf of a 3M U.S.A. employee who is unable to apply due to physical or mental incapacity (with written authorization).
