Description
The Camille and Henry Dreyfus Foundation’s Jean Dreyfus Lectureship for Undergraduate Institutions combines a visiting lectureship with summer undergraduate research. The program brings a notable chemical sciences researcher to campus for substantive interaction with students and faculty, while supporting two undergraduates working with on-campus chemical sciences mentors.
The visit must span at least two days and include at least two lectures. One must be accessible, promoted to a broad audience, and open to the general public; others may be technical. The lecturer’s research should complement departmental interests. Additional activities may include faculty and student meetings, poster sessions, seminars, and student-group engagement. Selection considers the benefit to the institution and wider community, alongside departmental research, education, and outreach.
