The European University Institute’s Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies offers Jean Monnet Fellowships for one-year residential research at Villa Schifanoia. The programme welcomes postdoctoral scholars, tenure-track academics, and academics wishing to spend a sabbatical at the Centre. Research proposals must fit one of the Centre’s main research themes, programmes, or projects.
Fellows join a problem-centred, interdisciplinary community whose basic and applied research addresses the functioning of the European Union and its role in the 21st century. Each fellow is associated with a Centre project or programme and contributes to its activities. Fellows may also participate in the EUI postdoctoral programme’s activities and are encouraged to collaborate with researchers, other postdoctoral scholars, and EUI academic staff.
