The Jean Murray Jones Scholarship provides financial assistance to Western Australian-based RANZCOG Fellows and FRANZCOG advanced trainees undertaking training or professional development in women’s health outside Western Australia. Administered through the RANZCOG Women’s Health Foundation, it is funded by money bequeathed to the College by Dr Jean Murray Jones for the benefit of WA Fellows and trainees.
The scholarship supports a training position at a centre of excellence that offers experience not readily available in WA. Although its purpose and conditions describe clinical and/or research training, the program page identifies the award as a research-only grant. Its return-to-state expectations connect the supported experience with subsequent work in WA and a sustained public-sector commitment.
