Description
The Jefferson Health Care Foundation Fund is administered by East Tennessee Foundation. Established in 2014 as a field-of-interest fund, it supports projects that improve healthcare and wellbeing for Jefferson County residents. Its intentionally broad priorities encourage creative and innovative responses to local health needs, with special funding consideration for projects extending opportunities to underserved and low-income residents.
Supported work includes affordable physical, mental, dental, and vision care; healthcare workforce access; transportation to medical appointments; health literacy; preventive services and early detection; opioid addiction services; and essential medical equipment. Projects may also expand access to affordable healthy food and gardening supplies, provide warm clothing or heating and cooling equipment, promote healthy lifestyles, or support caregivers.
