This grant supports U.S.-based non-profit organizations (with 501(c)(3) status) located in or carrying out projects within the 37 states east of the Rocky Mountains and Washington D.C. The goal is to enhance understanding of Japanese arts and culture through a wide range of activities, including exhibitions, performances, film screenings, conferences, webinars, and both in-person and online events. Projects should demonstrate artistic quality, impact, educational/community value, and organizational capacity. Priority is given to projects with additional funding sources and those serving areas with limited access to Japanese cultural events.
