The JGS Fellowship for Photography, administered by the New York Foundation for The Arts (NYFA), recognizes and supports five outstanding photographers living and working in New York State, but outside New York City. The fellowship celebrates both traditional and experimental approaches to photography, including light-based work and alternative processes, as long as photographic techniques are central to the artist’s practice. The grant provides recognition, resources, and an unrestricted cash award to further recipients' artistic careers.
