--- ## Description The Jo Ellen Smith Scholarship honors the dedication and heroism of Jo Ellen Smith by supporting Louisiana students pursuing careers in nursing and healthcare. The scholarship is awarded annually to students who have demonstrated academic excellence and active involvement in community service. The goal is to ensure the continued availability of excellent local medical practitioners in Louisiana.
