Description
The Texas Workforce Commission’s Jobs & Education for Texans (JET) program funds the purchase and installation of equipment for new or expanding career and technical education (CTE) programs. Supported courses must prepare students for local high-demand occupations and lead to a license, certificate, or postsecondary degree. The program helps education providers develop training capacity and expand CTE opportunities, including in public high schools.
JET focuses on equipment needed to deliver training, rather than the cost of training itself. Its goals include supporting emerging industries and connecting education to occupations in demand across Texas. The JET Advisory Board reviews applications and recommends awards at least quarterly, or as needed.
